Si Fu Lacy Colley

Si Fu Lacy Colley, Owner & Head Instructor

     Si Fu Lacy Colley has been involved in Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu and Yang Tai Chi Chuan for over 12 years, beginning at the age of 18. He began teaching in 1998 as an Assistant Instructor to his first teacher, or Si Fu, Sean Kans, a long-time student of Si Fu Robert LaPointe. Si Fu Kans opened the Sterling, VA White Birch Kung Fu & Tai Chi School in early 1996. When Si Fu Kans relocated in 2002, Si Fu Colley purchased the business and took over Head Instruction duties in order to keep the school open. At this time, he was sent by Si Fu Kans to continue his martial art studies with Si Fu LaPointe at the White Birch Kung Fu & Tai Chi School in Arlington, VA.

     Si Fu Colley trained with Si Fu LaPointe for almost 5 years until 2006, when he began training under Si Fu Sean Marshall of the Jing Ying Institute in Arnold, MD. Through his relationship with Si Fu Marshall, Si Fu Colley was able to meet and begin study with Si Jung Willy Lin of Lin Kung Fu. Si Jung Lin is the person whom initially introduced Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu to the U.S. in 1970. Since 2006, Si Fu Colley has been continuing his training under both Si Fu Marshall and Si Jung Lin.

     Si Fu Colley has also trained to varying degrees in the following martial arts: Ba Gua, Hsing I, Jiu Jitsu, American Kenpo, and contemporary Wu Shu. Though he has exposure to other systems and forms of martial art, Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu and Yang Tai Chi Chuan remain his specialties.

     In addition to his training, Si Fu Colley has presented numerous workshops, seminars, and demonstrations for employees of the CIA, local HOA's, churches, senior-citizen communties, several corporate organizations, and security services teams. Si Fu Colley has also judged and competed at the national level in traditional Chinese martial arts tournaments around the Washington, D.C. area.  

Si Heng Jose' Monjarez

Si Heng Jose' Monjarez

     Si Heng Jose' Monjarez is an Assistant Instructor in our adult Kung Fu program. Si Heng Monjarez began Kung Fu training in his native Mexico, and joined White Birch in 1999 after moving to the U.S. Since then, he has trained in both Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu and Yang Tai Chi Chuan. Si Heng Monjarez was promoted to black sash in our Kung Fu program in November 2004.

     Si Heng Brian Hotaling is an Assistant Instructor in our children's Kung Fu program. Si Heng Hotaling joined White Birch in 2005 and began his training in Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu. In 2007, he began study of Yang Tai Chi Chuan to compliment his Kung Fu training.
